Is there anything I should know before I book my vacation?

Yes, for the best experience, easiest check-in and lowest cost always book direct with the property if possible.  Third party sites such as VRBO and TripAdvisor are a convenient way to search multiple properties at once, but they will have to add to our cost to cover their fees.

When can I check-in and what time must we check-out?

Check -in is after 3pm CST and check-out is before 10am CST.  As soon as housekeeping has released your room you can check-in.  While delayed check-ins are uncommon, occasionally extra time may be needed to ensure it’s ready for your arrival.

How do we check-in?

Check-in is onsite at the Sundown office.  Our address is 16470 Perdido Key Dr., Pensacola, FL  32507.  If you will be checking in after hours your arrival packet will be placed in the locked box outside the office door.  A code will be given to you before or upon arrival.  Please contact our office before 5pm on arrival day if you will be arriving after hours. 850-492-1816

If our room isn’t ready when we arrive is there a place we can hang out and wait?

Absolutely!  You can use the bathhouse to change into your swimsuits and enjoy the pool.  You can park your car here and take a stroll on the beach or walk across the street to The Crab Trap restaurant and try out their great menu choices.

Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately, pets are prohibited from all of our vacation rentals.

Is there a grill we can use?

Yes, we have several charcoal grills on the Sundown grounds.  Grilling is only permitted in those designated areas.

How many vehicles are allowed and is there a charge for parking passes?

All one bedroom condos are issued one parking pass.  Two and three bedroom condos will be issued 2 parking passes if needed.  We do not have assigned parking and parking is very limited during peak seasons.  RV’s, motor homes and trailers are not permitted with the exception of boat trailers.  Parking cannot be guaranteed during peek times.  Parking passes must be displayed in your vehicle window at all times.

What are the instructions if we have a boat?

Boat slips are on a first come basis.  When you arrive sign out a “reserve tag” for a boat slip in the office.  You will need to provide  a description of your boat and trailer.  You will also be issued an identification tag for your trailer while on the property.

How much do I pay at booking and when is the remaining balance due?

If you are within 30 days of arrival payment is due in full.  If you book outside 30 days of arrival you will pay 10% at booking and the remaining balance 30 days before arrival.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made outside 30 days of arrival will be refunded all monies paid minus a $40 cancellation fee.  If you cancel within 30 days of arrival your payments will be forfeited.

What if bad weather is expected?

Should a hurricane or tropical storm threaten our area we will follow the guidance of governing officials for evacuations.  Although we do not issue refunds due to weather, some weather-related issues are covered by travel insurance.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is optional but highly recommended.  Travel insurance could insure you are reimbursed in the event of cancellations due to certain emergencies.  I recommend contacting a travel insurance company for details.
